Jesse Gessin, partner at the nationally recognized Irvine law firm of Keller/Anderle LLP, has been certified as a life member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. The Million Dollar Advocates Forum is recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.
Membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements.
Jesse's areas of practice include complex commercial trials and white collar criminal defense. He is an Associate Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (by invitation only, limited to top 1/2 of 1 percent of lawyers nationally). An outstanding trial lawyer, Jesse has tried close to 30 jury trials to verdict as lead or co-lead counsel. Jesse's entry into the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum follows his multi-million dollar jury verdict in Howard v. Howard. Topverdict.com recognizes Howard as not only the largest breach of fiduciary duty verdict in California for 2018 but also the largest legal malpractice verdict that year. Also in 2018, Jesse was an integral member of the Keller/Anderle trial team that won a rare defense class action jury verdict in downtown Los Angeles for the firm's client MassMutual Life Insurance Co. The case is recognized as one of the Top Defense Verdicts in California for 2018 by California's leading legal publication (The Daily Journal) and one of the Top 10 Defense Verdicts in the Country by the only national courtroom television network (Courtroom View Network).
Before joining Keller/Anderle, Jesse was an attorney in two different federal public defender offices, most recently in the Central District of California. Before that position, he practiced civil litigation, was an extern for the United States Department of Justice Criminal Division, and during college served an internship in The White House.
Jesse teaches trial advocacy at UC Irvine School of Law, and lectures on trial strategy and techniques throughout the United States. He is a prolific writer who has recently written articles for The Nevada Law Review, Orange County Business Journal, and other legal publications.
