Kay Anderle, managing partner of the nationally recognized Irvine law firm of Keller/Anderle LLP, has been certified as a life member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. The Million Dollar Advocates Forum is recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

Membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards and settlements. The organization was founded in 1993 and there are approximately 5,000 members located throughout the country. Forum membership acknowledges excellence in advocacy, and provides members with a national network of experienced colleagues for professional referral and information exchange in major cases. Members of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum must have acted as principal counsel in at least one case in which their client has received a verdict, award or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more. Members of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum must be Life Members of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and must have acted as principal counsel in at least one case which has resulted in a multi-million dollar verdict, award or settlement. Kay has been approved for membership in both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Kay specializes in trial practice, including commercial litigation, class actions, white collar criminal defense, and criminal defense. She is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only organization limited to the top one-half of one percent of the nation’s attorneys. She was recently awarded the 2016 Thomas A. Mesereau Cup for Outstanding Criminal Defense, given by the Litigation Counsel of America. Kay is listed in the elite “The Best Lawyers in America®” in both white collar and general practice criminal defense, and was selected as Orange County Lawyer of the Year 2014 (Criminal Defense: Non-White Collar).     Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship. Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province.

    Keller/Anderle’s successful application for a temporary restraining order led the state and federal governments to announce Friday they would abandon their plan to use the Fairview Developmental Center in Costa Mesa to quarantine coronavirus patients.

    The action was to stop a possible plan by state and federal agencies to use the Fairview Developmental Center to house and quarantine people with the coronavirus. Jennifer Keller, an attorney for the city, said Friday evening that it is hard to reconcile how Fairview could be suitable for coronavirus quarantine when it had recently been deemed unfit for a homeless shelter without extensive improvements.
